We hope that this section will answer many of the questions that you may have as a new patient concerning what to expect if you join our dental family.

Initial Exam

Your first appointment with us is unique in that we feel that before you can trust us as your dental care provider, you must first come to know us.  That is why we schedule an hour and half appointment.  During this first appointment you will be given the most thorough and comprehensive dental examination you have ever had.  Dr. Robison uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as: intraoral and digital cameras, digital x-rays, and the diagnodent laser to aid in her diagnosis and treatment planning for your particular health and cosmetic needs.  But most importantly, Dr. Robison uses this first appointment to get to know you and find out what are your dental needs and concerns.

Medical / Insurance Information

When you schedule your initial appointment, we will send you a Welcome Packet that contains various forms for you to fill out prior to your appointment as well as an interactive CD that highlights many aspects of our office. These forms will facilitate your insurance and medical processing.  However, you will need to bring the following information to your first appointment:

    • Names(s) and dosage(s) of any medication currently prescribed
    • Name(s) of employer(s)
    • Name(s) of dental insurance company(s) (if any)
    • Group and policy number(s)
    • Social Security Number(s) of policy holder(s)
    • You and your spouse's benefit plan book(s) and dental insurance policy(s)

Insurance Processing

We understand that processing insurance claims is tedious and often times exceedingly difficult.  That is why we will process and accept assignment of your insurance benefits.  Mary, our insurance coordinator, has over 15 years of experience in handling most insurance claims.  However, you must remember that dental insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company, and therefore you should be as familiar as possible with your plan.  When treatment is accomplished, we will estimate what your insurance benefit will be and ask that you pay for your portion of the treatment at that time.  However, this is only an estimation, and many times insurance companies will not pay what we have anticipated.  When this occurs, you will be billed for any outstanding debt owed.

Payment Options

Our goal is to maintain fees as reasonable and fair as possible.  To facilitate this, we request payment on the day services are rendered.

We accept:

  • Discover
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • American Express

For larger cases, we offer DFP, the Dental Fee Plan, that allows you to extend payments over a longer period of time. You simply apply at home or in our office and you will receive approval within one hour. If you have questions on DFP please contact Mary T and she will explain the program in detail.

We are pleased to offer Capital One Healthcare Finance to our patients. Capital One Healthcare Finance is a convenient, no initial payment, low monthly payment plan for dental treatments of $1,000 to $25,000. Offering Capital One Healthcare Finance allows us to make the smile you've always wanted affordable.

Office Hours

We believe that Robison Associates has some of the most flexible hours in the dental community.  Our normal business hours are Monday through Thursday, 7AM to 4PM.  These extended hours allow you to make appointments around your schedule, not ours.  All initial examinations will be scheduled at 2:30PM.
