We at Robison Associates, P.C. are pleased to announce that we have been selected to be a provider for the BriteSmile professional teeth whitening system. This system offers the latest, most advanced state-of-the-art technology to whiten teeth. Combining a gentle, 15% hydrogen-peroxide whitening gel with a break-through new "blue light," BriteSmile is able to decrease the completion time for effective teeth whitening down to just one, two-hour visit.

One of the biggest advantages to BriteSmile over in-home bleaching systems is that your compliance period is reduced from three weeks to two days. What is a compliance period? Most people do not know that when you are using take-home bleaching kits that you must restrict your diet for the period that you are bleaching. In other words, you can not drink or eat any foods that contain color. You are limited to white, or near white colored foods. If you do not follow this regimen, then your teeth will stain making the bleaching process far less effective. With BriteSmile, your compliance period is two days and then you can resume your regular diet. For individuals on the go, this certainly simplifies the entire whitening process.

BriteSmile has proven to be safe and effective. The BriteSmile treatment has proven safe in clinical studies conducted by independent university researchers. Additionally in its own clinical studies, BriteSmile has been able to achieve an average 9 shades whiter with many clients enjoying results off the chart! In addition, BriteSmile has recently been approved for children and young adults ages 14-21. This procedure can dramatically improve tetracycline stains or discoloration as a result of orthodontic treatment.

BriteSmile is Affordable & Satisfaction is Guaranteed. When you factor in the dramatic results in one visit and the results last for years, a BriteSmile treatment is very affordable. Furthermore, we are committed to helping you achieve your optimum, natural whiteness and we guarantee your satisfaction.

The following are frequently asked questions concerning the BriteSmile process.

In clinical studies, BriteSmile has been able to achieve an average 9 shades whiter. * Your results of course will vary depending on the darkness of your teeth and your circumstances. How Long Does it Last?

Your teeth are as individual and unique as you are and, therefore, your actual results may vary. However, in general, BriteSmile whitening results can last up to 2 years assuming good hygiene and reasonable exposure to staining foods or beverages.

Does it work on caps, veneers or bonds?

The BriteSmile professional teeth whitening treatment has been successful at removing stains from caps, veneers or bonded teeth. However, a whitening procedure in general cannot change the color to the caps, veneers or bonds. We recommend that you discuss your situation with Dr. Robison to determine what you can expect.

Is it Safe?

Yes. The primary ingredient in the BriteSmile gel is hydrogen peroxide which has been safely used in teeth whitening for over 100 years and is recognized as an effective ingredient by the dental community.

The BriteSmile treatment has also been tested and found safe by university researchers. Independent safety studies conducted by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and reviewed by researchers at New York University, found conclusively that the BriteSmile treatment resulted in no structural change in teeth, no adverse impact on fillings, and no softening in tooth enamel.

Additionally, only licensed dentists and properly trained dental professionals perform this procedure which further ensures your safety.

Will it Hurt?

The BriteSmile teeth whitening process is normally completely painless. A very small percentage of people may experience a minor dull ache following the procedure. Taking an analgesic almost always resolves the feeling. It is best to avoid very hot or very cold drinks for the first 24 hours if there is any tooth sensitivity.

Is the Procedure for Everyone?

Virtually everyone wanting to brighten their teeth can benefit from the BriteSmile procedure including people with severe food, coffee, tobacco or tetracycline stains. Come in for a free consultation and let Dr. Robison determine what is right for you.
